BEAUMONT PARK
Contestant – National
Carnival Queen Pageant 2007 - 2008
‘A sincerely positive attitude is not the reaction
to the way things are, rather an expression of the way you
choose things to be’.
September 19, 1987, not only marked the 4th Anniversary of
Independence for the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, but
it was also on this date the creator gave Joh Berry Imo and
Lynette Williams an amazing gift, their first daughter.
20 year old, Fatisha, has now blossomed into a youthful,
energetic, educated, charismatic, disciplined Kittitian,
who more than anything is focused on being able to leave
an indelible mark on this world.
Ms Fatisha Imo is proudly sponsored by Beaumont Park and
is quite grateful to the company for granting her the opportunity
to pursue one of her dreams.
She is an affable person who finds comfort in helping her family, friends and
strangers and enjoys motivating others to achieve their goals.
She occupies herself with dancing, swimming, shopping and photography. She likes
to compare herself to a kaleidoscopic array of colors because of the unique qualities
that each colour represents. Her favorite artist is Lauryn Hill.
Fatisha received most of her formal education at the St.Theresa’s Convent
High School. During her twelve productive years at the Convent High, she was
elected President of the History Club at the age of 14. Her hard work led her
club to enjoy an educational visit to the beautiful island of Jamaica. She was
also made President of the Prom Committee and Head Prefect of the School. Throughout
her years at the Convent High, she attempted 7 O’level subjects, all of
which she successfully attained passing grades.
Her academic aspiration then led her to enroll for two years at the Clarence
Fitzroy Bryant College, challenging herself to write eight CAPE Subjects. She
was successful in passing all of them. She engaged herself in extra curricular
activities and was a member of the Literary and Debating Society and represented
St.Kitts in the Literary Debating Competition in Anguilla. She also was the Events
Planner of the CFBC Dance Ensemble.
Her dreams and aspirations are to become a successful business woman in the field
of accounting. She is employed at Cable & Wireless as an Accounts Payable
Clerk and this gives her the opportunity to get first hand experience in the
field
She has entered the National Carnival Queen Pageant 2007-2008 with the intention
of gladly welcoming the opportunity to promote her beautiful twin-island Federation
locally, regionally and internationally.
Ms Imo said what she will enjoy most about the contest is the remarkable opportunity
to meet powerful young women and personalities from different backgrounds. She
sees it as a great opportunity to learn and build herself as a genuine individual.
One of her favorite quotes ‘YOU DON’T GET TO THE TOP BY BEING LIKE
EVERYONE ELSE’ is a message she indulges youth to deeply consider.
