Talented Teen and Junior Calypso Contestants Announced

Six (6) Secondary Schools will be represented by the following female Contestants:

- 16 year old Alsanarda Hanley of Washington Archibald High
- 16 year old Aylahnique Thompson, Cayon High
- 17 year old Sonni Richardson, Sandy Point High
- 14 year old Zionshaw Joseph, Verchilds High
- 16 year old Tamara Francis, Basseterre High
- 13 year old Shantill Steele of the St Theresa’s Convent

The teenagers will be judged on their Personality and Achievement Speech, Performing Talent, Formal Teenage Wear and On Stage Interview.

The youngsters participating in the Junior Calypso Competition will be representing Tucker-Clarke Primary, Cayon High, Sandy Point High, Washington Archibald High, Maurice Hillier Primary, Basseterre High and Verchilds High Schools. The top prize will be the Newfound Regal Trophy which will be rotated on an annual basis.

The participants for both sections of the show are being fully prepared with specialized Workshops covering Stage Performance, Microphone Techniques, Appropriate Grooming and Use of Props.

The Junior Carnival Sub Committee applauds the Sponsor UDC, Contributor Newfound Developers and the 16 teenagers and extends an open invitation to students, Teachers and parents in particular to attend the show in support of our youth.
